The 2008 Summer Youth Volunteer Program at the Perry Point VA Medical Center will begin at the conclusion of this year’s school term as students begin their summer break. Applications are now being accepted for youth who are between the ages of 14 and 17. Interested youth are required to complete an application that must be signed by a parent or guardian to participate in the program. Additionally, all youth volunteers must present a copy of their birth certificate to verify their age. Once applications are received and volunteer candidates are selected, each youth volunteer will be scheduled for an orientation to introduce them to their work site and volunteer supervisor, and to familiarize them with the policies and procedures related to the Summer Youth Volunteer Program. For more information about the Summer Youth Volunteer Program at the Perry Point VA Medical Center, please call (410) 642-1038.
