Brian A. Hawkins joined the VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS) in January 2006 as the Associate Director for Finance. Mr. Hawkins has worked for the VA for 14 years.

His principal areas of responsibility are overseeing the operations of Finance and Accounting, Medical Administration, Medical Care Collection Fund, Decision Support System, Office of Workers’ Compensation, Human Resources Management, Prosthetics and Sensory Aides, and Canteen Service. He currently serves as Chairperson of the VAMHCS Resource Management Committee and Equipment Committee.

Mr. Hawkins is a graduate of Southern Illinois University and holds a Master’s Degree in Health Service Administration from Governors State University in Illinois.

Mr. Hawkins is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Rotary Club International, and the American Pilot and Aircraft Owners Association.

He is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas.
