In her capacity as the Associate Director of Operations, Ms. Quailey-Giannopoulos leads the day-to-day operations of Acquisition & Materiel Management, Consumer Relations, Environmental Management, Facilities & Engineering, Information Resource Management, Information Security, Nutrition and Food, Pastoral Care, Pharmacy, and Police & Security Services for the VA Maryland Health Care System. Her principal areas of responsibility include planning, coordinating and evaluating the operations of these services.

Ms. Quailey-Giannopoulos is responsible for the support of all facilities throughout the VA Maryland Health Care System, including the Baltimore and Perry Point VA Medical Centers, the Loch Raven VA Community Living & Rehabilitation Center and five community based outpatient clinics located throughout the state. She also serves as the Chairperson for the Executive Committee of the Administrative Services for the VA Maryland Health Care System.

Ms. Quailey-Giannopoulos has a 25-year career with the Department of Veterans Affairs, having served the last nine years as the Executive Assistant to the Director for the VA Maryland Health Care System. Prior to serving as the Executive Assistant to Director, Ms. Quailey-Giannopoulos was the Supervisory Social Worker for the Managed Care Clinical Center for the VA Maryland Health Care System, where she was responsible for managing several community based outpatient clinics and a mobile Clinic.

Prior to joining the VA Maryland Health Care System, Ms. Quailey-Giannopoulos had a ten year history as a Psychiatric Social Worker at the Highland Drive Division of the VA Pittsburgh Health Care System, where she was an integral member of the management team that planned and implemented programming for the elderly and chronically mentally ill. She has a master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh in the field of Social Work and a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University.
