Community Calendar Item: Fort Howard Open House and Informational Fair
What: The Veterans Affairs (VA) Maryland Health Care System is hosting an Open House and Information Fair on Saturday, March 20, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fort Howard VA Outpatient Clinic, located at 9600 North Point Road, Fort Howard, MD. Veterans and their family members are invited to attend so they can learn about VA health care eligibility and enrollment, available health care services, compensation and pension benefits, pharmacy services and burial benefits. Information will also be available about VA programs and services to support veterans struggling due to a job loss or financial setback. VA representatives will be available to provide specific information and assistance to veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Veterans who are interested in enrolling for VA health care during the Open House and Information Fair should bring a copy of their discharge paperwork (Form DD214) and a photo ID to assist in the enrollment process.
